Decanates:
Part Five
In the previous four articles of this series, I introduced the
concept of decanates, named the three decanates of each of the 12
signs of the zodiac, and presented examples of the decanates for
well?known people with birthdates in the various decanates of the
first six signs.
In the current article, I shall continue the decanate examples
for additional signs of the zodiac. Again, although these people
may have well?known horoscopes, let us assume, to illustrate the
power of the decanates, that all we know about these people is the
month and day of their birth.
Barbara Walters has been coming into our homes via television for
many, many years. If she were to tell you that her birthday is September
25, you would know that her Sun is about 1 to 2 degrees of Libra
(ruled by Venus) clearly in the very first decanate (Libra?ruled?by?Venus)
of Libra. No wonder we keep inviting her back. She is always lovely
(Libra), looks good (Venus), and is a master at the one?on?one (Libra)
interview.
Should you meet the actor Charlton Heston, and he tells you that
his birthday is October 4, you would know that his Sun is at about
11 degrees of Libra. This is in the second (Aquarius?ruled?by?Uranus)
decanate of Libra. The Aquarian influence has been evident in Charlton
Heston's involvement with large groups (He was president of the
Screen Actors' Guild) and his involvement with social causes.
The actress Carrie Fisher is well known for her role in the original
Star Wars movie. Her birthday is on October 21, with the Sun at
about 27 degrees of Libra. This is obviously in the third (Gemini?ruled?by?Mercury)
decanate of Venus?ruled Libra. The Mercury?ruled decanate explains
why Carrie Fisher has written several books. Films have been made
of her books. She may become more well known for her writing than
for her acting career.
The author Michael Crichton was born on October 23, with his Sun
at zero degrees Scorpio. His Sun is in the first (Scorpio?ruled?by?Pluto/Mars)
decanate of Scorpio. The double dose of Scorpio/Pluto/Mars is probably
what directed him to medical school. A background in science and
a great deal of time spent in Pluto?type research helped him write
books like "The Andromeda Strain" and "Jurassic Park."
The double?dose of Scorpio/Mars is probably also responsible for
Michael Crichton's creation of "ER," the award?winning
medical dramatic series on television.
Should you meet the actor Charles Bronson, and he tells you that
his birthday is November 3, you would know that his Sun is at about
10 or 11 degrees of Scorpio in the second (Pisces) decanate of Scorpio.
Here the Pisces (ruled?by?Neptune) decanate is expressed in acting
(Neptune) in films (Neptune.) Charles Bronson is usually cast as
the strong, silent, mysterious (Scorpio) hero, who lives a hidden
(Neptune) secret life.
The beautiful Grace Kelly was born on November 12, with her Sun
at about 20 to 21 Scorpio. Her Sun was in the third (Cancer?ruled?by?the?Moon)
decanate of Scorpio. Her cool beauty was obvious to all, but men
could sense the Scorpio sensuality within. The Cancer decanate shows
its influence in her raising of a family and in her role of a princess,
virtually the mother of her adopted country, Monaco.
John Kennedy Jr. cannot give incorrect birth data, because so many
remember his birth a few weeks after his father was elected President.
John Jr. was born on November 25, with the Sun at about 2 to 3 degrees
of Sagittarius. This puts his Sun in the first (Sagittarius?ruled?by?Jupiter)
decanate of Sagittarius. His life so far seems to illustrate the
qualities of Sagittarius/Jupiter. He loves the outdoors and sports,
he was a popular bachelor, and he is the publisher of his own magazine,
"George."
Don King, the promoter of prizefights, was born on December 6.
His Sun is at about 13 to 14 degrees of Sagittarius. This means
that his Sagittarius Sun is in the second (Aries?ruled?by?Mars)
decanate of Sagittarius. Isn't it amazing? A man whose whole identity
is wrapped up in fights and fighters (Mars) has his Sun in the Aries
(Mars) decanate of Sagittarius, a sign connected with sports.
Ed Koch, the former Mayor of New York City, has his birthday on
December 12. His Sun is at about 20 to 21 degrees of Sagittarius.
This tells us that his Sun (Sagittarius/Jupiter) is in the third
(Leo?ruled?by?the?Sun) decanate of Sagittarius. His need to be in
the spotlight (Leo/Sun) made him one of the most illustrious Mayors,
and explains why he is currently on television (Leo, the sign of
show business) as the judge of "The people's Court."
In Part Six of this series, I shall conclude the discussion of
decanates with further examples.
